Embark on a thrilling 3-day journey through Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, visiting three unique national parks, Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara. This short but action-packed safari is ideal for travelers with limited time who want to experience stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and unforgettable game viewing.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, you'll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive through diverse landscapes where you might spot lions, zebras, wildebeests, and more. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park. Later in the afternoon, you’ll head to your lodge at Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After an early breakfast, you'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five. Spend the day exploring this wildlife-packed volcanic caldera, spotting black rhinos, lions, elephants, and flocks of flamingos around the soda lake. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
On your final day, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos, and dense groundwater forests. The park offers a peaceful contrast to the previous two days and is perfect for bird lovers. After the game drive and lunch, return to Arusha by late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
